About You You’re an experienced events and hospitality professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, turning creative ideas into real‑life “wow” moments while confidently managing multiple projects at once. You’ll bring: Proven experience delivering events end‑to‑end, from planning through to on‑site execution Strong organisational and project‑management skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines Experience working with cross‑functional teams and external vendors Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Sales and operational teams Budget management capability and confidence allocating resources wisely Creative problem‑solving skills and adaptability when challenges arise An understanding of hospitality and what makes a best‑in‑class guest experience Travel planning and logistics management experience A calm, solution‑focused approach under pressure Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required for event delivery About The Role As the Events & Famil Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end planning, coordination and execution of Journey Beyond’s event program. Working closely with Marketing, Sales and Executive teams, you’ll design and deliver a variety of consumer, trade and brand activation events that showcase Australia's best travel experiences. You will also manage major group trade and media famils—including itinerary design, travel logistics, branded materials and guest communications—ensuring every touchpoint reflects our premium brand. Key responsibilities will include : Lead end‑to‑end planning, coordination and delivery of all Journey Beyond events. Develop event concepts, themes, timelines and project plans from idea to execution. Deliver a mix of consumer and B2B events, brand activations and national showcases. Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, AV partners and staging. Oversee budget management across events, activations and famil travel programs. Manage invitations, guest communication, collateral and digital content. Act as the main contact for vendors, attendees and internal stakeholders on event days. Deliver on‑site event execution, staffing plans, rosters and crew briefs. Coordinate all major media and trade famils including itineraries and travel logistics. Prepare post‑event insights, reports, feedback and continuous improvement recommendations. This is a part‑time role (3 days/week) based at our Adelaide Head Office on North Terrace, with opportunities to travel to some of Australia’s most breathtaking destinations.
